ABOUT THE NAME:

Our frustration at the poor level of information and advice available to people who were looking for help with a dog related problem, drove the team to find something that we all share the same values in….and that boiled down to a desire to remove the “Bull” from the industry.

If we don’t like a product, we simply won’t carry it!  By way of example, we have tried many “sonic” based “no bark” collars and their success rate is so low, we choose not to carry them.

We don’t believe in misleading warranties that promise things like “limited lifetime warranty” or 10 year warranty, because when you read the fine print they just do not make sense.  Very few electronic devices last anything like 10 years; will the manufacturer or dealer be in business in 10 years??!!  In the last 25 years more than 16 electronic dog product manufacturers have exited the industry, makes you think doesn’t it.

OUR PRODUCTS:

Our product selection philosophy was simple, as we knew that the sort of problems people were having with dogs cover the barking, escaping, being disobedient and lost while hunting type problems.  So you will soon find bark collars, containment systems, remote electronic trainers and tracking systems on the site.

Our selection of products itself was quite complex, because we had some very important criteria for products to meet and some of the issues we placed high on our list were:

1. The companies had to be in the top 10% of suppliers in their respective fields.
2. The suppliers had to have a long history of success in the working & hunting dog markets.
3. The products had to be excellent value for   money.
4. Reliability of the products when used in tough environments had to be assessed.
5. True ease of use for the intended purpose, as distinct from marketing hype.

In addition it was important that we retained our independence from simply being a reseller of one brand only, so that we could continue to look around the world at innovation.

NO ON-LINE ORDERING

While it would make our lives easier to allow interested people to place orders via a “check-out” system, it is more important that you get the right product for the problem and have know how to use it properly.  So you will have to talk to us or send us an e-mail.

Some products have restrictions on their use in certain states and it is important that we discuss those issues with you first. 

The good news is that we are open for business most times of the day and evening, 7 days a week.  You may occasionally end up on an answering service, but just let us know the best time to call you back!!  Remember we do sleep (now and again)

CONCLUSION

Above all, dog ownership should be fun regardless of whether it’s a suburban pet, working Kelpie or a hunting dog.  Therefore we are about having fun too, so if you find us a bit irreverent don’t be surprised as we tend not to take ourselves too seriously.
